Shenandoah Conservatory Arts Academy - Academie d’Azagra

I was recently invited to photograph the Fencing athletes of the Shenandoah Conservatory Arts Academy Fencing program, Academie d’Azagra run by Mr. Charles De Azagra.

Over the course of two days I photographed four classes ranging from beginner trainees through Squires, the highest level of this program. In addition to capturing the athletes in action, I also captured lighted portraits of each of the athletes.

This was an exceptional opportunity to capture these young athletes learning and perfecting skills that will translate from fencing to their adult lives.
