Front Royal Skate Park

Riding high off my time at Winchester Skate Park, I wanted to explore other parks in the area - especially Front Royal Skate Park which offers several bowls where I can achieve that iconic “fisheye handplant on the coping of a bowl” look. The park was pretty quiet, however, one BMX rider, Jason Mitchell, was friendly and welcoming and we started talking about the park, the features, and ultimately if he wanted to shoot.

Jason was awesome helping me navigate the park, where to set up to capture his maneuvers, and walked me through some shot ideas. I tried shooting with the flash, but ditched it as my little Godox it32 couldn’t keep up with the sun - duh! - and we managed to capture a couple of shots around the bowl(s) I’m really happy with.
