Winchester Skate Park

In recent years, Winchester installed it’s concrete slab skate park in Jim Barnett park. The skate park, an homage to “The Spot,” offers skateboarders, scooter riders and BMX riders a place to collectively practice their passions.

Over the weekend I was fortunate enough to spend two days photographing at the skate park. On day one I was introduced to a skater named Santi who was friendly enough to let me photograph him during his session. On the second day I had to rare opportunity to photograph professional skateboarder, Evan Smith, who was gracious with his time and offered me pointers on some of my photographs.

Photographing a professional skateboarder was an opportunity I did not see coming but I am grateful for the opportunity and so happy and proud of the images we produced.
